Our Vision

At Mosaic Community Church Eastside, we are part of the most amazing story in the world: the story of God redeeming all of mankind through the ministry of Jesus, empowered by the Holy Spirit and offered through the Church, "the fullness of Him who fills all in all" (Ephesians 1:23).

Throughout the New Testament, we see followers of Jesus from drastically different backgrounds, with unique, Spirit-empowered gifts, come together to form a mature, healthy expression of the family of God. Our name, Mosaic, expresses this very desire. Each of our members is broken in unique ways, each from different backgrounds, and each with an essential, Spirit-empowered gift to bring our church into maturity.

OUR THEOLOGY IN A WORD: JESUS. WE WANT TO BE LIKE HIM, LIVE ACCORDING TO HIS WAYS, AND INTRODUCE OTHERS TO HIM. WE BELIEVE THE BIBLE. WE STUDY IT NOT FOR KNOWLEDGE ALONE, BUT TO BE HOLISTICALLY TRANSFORMED INTO THE LIKENESS OF JESUS.

MEET OUR LEADERS

Mosaic Eastside is governed by a local Senior Leadership Board (SLB) made up of five members: Nicholas Bakare, Gabriel Hui, Andrew Bach, Paul Jackson, and Andrew Franklin. We also have a Pastoral Advisory Board made up from members from across the Antioch Movement of churches who specifically oversee the lead pastor.

Andrew Franklin has served as the lead pastor of Mosaic Eastside since the church began in 2021.

Andrew and his wife, Jordyn, have been married for 11 years. They have four children: William (9), Alice (8), Elliot (6) and Annie (3).

Andrew’s ministry experience has included over 10 years of pastoral counseling ministry, as well as local church leadership and regional church planting. In 2024 he received his Masters of Applied Biblical Leadership at Western Seminary in Portland, OR.

Coming alongside Mosaic’s SLB is a team of paid staff, volunteer staff, and local ministry leaders who oversee such areas as facility care, special events, equipping, kids ministry, outreach, and young adult ministry. We love to see new leaders raised up as people come alive to the gifts God has given them and mature in their walk with Jesus.

Senior Leadership Board

Our Senior Leadership Board are members of Mosaic Eastside who cover our community pastorally, oversee the health of the church, and guard the vision and values God has given us. This team unifies for major decisions affecting the church. They have been seasoned in Mosaic’s training schools and served our church in multiple capacities before stepping into leadership.

Mosaic Eastside's Story

In 2020, the leadership of Mosaic Community Church in Seattle recognized a new move of God occurring on the Eastside: individuals and families rising up as mature Jesus-followers. Meanwhile, halfway across the country, Andrew and Jordyn Franklin were serving within the Antioch Movement, with a vision for the church to become center for Jesus to impart holistic healing and restoration to many lives. God aligned our visions, and after moving to the Pacific Northwest, the Franklins led a small group of Eastsiders from Mosaic on a nine-month journey, exploring how to more whole-heartedly walk in Jesus's character, His ways, and His mission. This group eventually became the launch team for Mosaic Community Church in Bellevue, commissioned by our Seattle church in September 2021.

THE ANTIOCH MOVEMENT

Mosaic Eastside is part of the Antioch International Movement of Churches and is connected with other Antioch churches in the Seattle region: Mosaic Seattle and Mosaic North.

Together, we are a movement of churches connected by relationship and a desire to love God, love one another and love those who do not know Jesus, through the power and work of the Holy Spirit. The Antioch movement, which began more than 20 years ago, is dedicated to seeing the local church reproduce the Kingdom of God through evangelism and discipleship throughout the United States and around the world.
